Hello! Thank you again, for collaborating with me :-) It’s important you follow the instructions for optimal healing results.

*A reminder that my fine line tattoos are meant to heal soft as there is less ink going into your skin and the end result is meant to look dainty and not bold like traditional bold line tattoos*

✧˖°.Healing Your Fine Line Tattoo✧˖°.

  1. Please leave Saniderm on for 3 to 5 days. Build up is normal and shouldn’t be a cause for concern unless it seeps out or becomes too uncomfortable then you can always remove it sooner.

  2. Do not remove it when your skin is dry. Always remove under running lukewarm water (during a shower is easiest) Gently pull on the corners instead of peeling. (Similar to how you would remove a hanging adhesive strip on a wall) Some fall out is normal.

  3. After removing, gently wash the tattoo with unscented antibacterial soap, pat dry with a paper towel and proceed to moisturize with a thin layer of aquaphor or unscented lotion.  Then you can continue to follow the instructions below  :-)

── ⋆⋅Dry healing for these types of tattoos does NOT work. Please refrain from using the dry healing technique on your fine line tattoo as it will cause damage to the appearance and cause excessive fading!

This process works for both of those who choose not to do saniderm and or right after removing the adhesive after your appointment. ⋅⋆ ───

  1. If you opted out of using saniderm on your skin, after an hour please remove the plastic wrap. Clean the area with an unscented gentle soap. Pat dry and apply a thin layer of aquaphor to your tattoo.

  2. I recommend cleaning your tattoo a minimum of 2 times to a maximum of 3 times a day. As well as applying a thin layer of aquaphor to your tattoo each time. Do not let your tattoo go without any moisture for long periods of time as it’ll affect the way it heals. Please avoid rubbing, scratching or putting any type of pressure on your tattoo..

  3. Repeat this for the first 4 days. On day 5 you can switch to an unscented lotion. I recommend applying a thin layer of lotion at least 3 to 4 times a day and/or whenever your skin feels dry. If your skin is on the sensitive side and well hydrated, then less moisturizing will work best for you to avoid any bumps, redness or clogged pores! For skin types on the dry side, for best healing results make sure your skin is hydrated throughout the day. Drinking water and getting enough sleep also helps a lot.

When taking a shower I strongly encourage minimizing time spent under running water for your saniderm or open wound. This can lead to the bandage coming off prematurely or the risk of the ink excessively fading on your piece.

I would avoid swimming, long workouts and baths while your tattoo is healing. Short light workouts are fine ! We want to prevent the skin from creating unnecessary moisture, fluid or heating under the saniderm that could potentially lead to irritation, redness or possible infections if not properly taken care of. It’s best to try and keep your bandage/area clean at all times.

Peeling on fine line tattoos is normal. In early peeling stages it might look like the ink has faded but typically it is simply just new skin barrier forming. The ink will heal soft as your tattoo settles into your skin. These tattoos are not meant to be bold or dark. If you’d like for your tattoo to look bolder or darker then you can look into my Touch Up Policy section below.

While your tattoo may appear “healed” after 2 weeks it is important you continue moisturizing. I recommend a good moisturizing regime for your skin. Minimal sun exposure is important to protect your piece. You can start applying sunscreen a month after getting your tattoo :)

₊ ⊹ ⟡WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER THE FIRST 5-10 DAYS₊ ⊹ ⟡

I recommend you reach out to me by sending an email to roxietattoos@gmail.com with a picture of your healed tattoo. Please wait about a month and a half to two months after your initial appointment. This is because I recommend allowing the ink to settle into the skin before going over it again. This is to prevent blowouts or ink spreading or bleeding into the skin. There is a fee to go over your tattoo for a bolder look.
